Upload a Voice Sample
EchoParrot's voice cloning lets you create a digital version of any voice from an audio recording. Your cloned voice can then be used by any assistant.
Requirements
Before uploading, make sure your audio sample meets these requirements:
- Format: MP3, WAV, or M4A
- Duration: Minimum 30 seconds, recommended 2–5 minutes
- Quality: Clear speech, minimal background noise
- Content: Natural conversational speech (reading a script works well)
- Speaker: Only one speaker per sample
How to Upload
- Go to Voice Library in the left sidebar
- Click + Clone a Voice
- Enter a name for your voice (e.g., "Maria - Sales")
- Click Upload Sample and select your audio file
- Optionally add a description
- Click Create Voice
Processing takes 1–3 minutes depending on file size. You'll see the voice appear in your library once ready.
Testing Your Cloned Voice
After creation:
- Open your voice from the Voice Library
- Type a test sentence in the Preview box
- Click Play to hear the cloned voice
If the result sounds off, try uploading a higher quality or longer sample.
Assigning to an Assistant
- Open your assistant
- Go to the Voice tab
- Select your cloned voice from the dropdown
- Click Save
Legal note: Only upload voice samples for which you have the right to clone. Do not upload voice samples of other people without their explicit consent.
