Troubleshooting Failed Calls
If your calls are failing or not connecting, here are the most common causes and how to resolve them.
Call Status: "Failed"
No Phone Number Assigned
Your assistant needs a phone number to make or receive calls.
Fix: Go to your assistant's Phone tab and assign a number.
Insufficient Credits
Outbound calls require call credits. If your balance is zero, calls will fail.
Fix: Go to Billing > Add Credits to top up your account.
Number Not Verified
Some countries require phone number verification before use.
Fix: Go to Settings > Phone Numbers and complete the verification process.
Call Status: "No Answer"
This is normal — the contact did not pick up. EchoParrot will:
- Log the attempt in your call history
- Retry based on your campaign retry settings
You can adjust retry intervals in Campaigns > Settings.
Call Status: "Busy"
The line was busy. The assistant will automatically retry based on your retry schedule.
Audio Quality Issues
If calls connect but audio is poor:
- Check your assistant's voice settings — try switching to a different voice model
- Ensure your script doesn't have very long sentences (causes delays)
- Check your network connection if using the web interface
Calls Not Reaching Contacts in Certain Countries
Some countries have carrier restrictions on AI-generated calls.
Fix: Contact our support team to check availability for your target region.
